Student Guardian Visa (Temporary) - Subclass 590

If the nominating student has not turned 18, or has turned 18 but have an exceptional reason to reside with a guardian, they can nominate someone who is the nominating student’s relative and is 21 years or older. It is not necessary for the Student Guardian to be the nominating student’s parent.

Temporary Graduate Visa (Provisional) - Subclass 485

After completing your Australian Study, you may be qualified to apply for a Temporary Graduate Visa, commonly known as TR visa. There are certain requirements that you must have met to be eligible for subclass 485, they are:

• Age of less than 50
• Hold or held a student visa in the last 6 months.
• The primary applicant has not held 485 or 476 as a primary applicant before.

There are different streams under subclass 485 and the length of your visa grant depends on the stream you qualify for and whether you studied in a regional area or not. Subclass 485 is quite significant if you want to explore your possibilities of obtaining a permanent residence in Australia.
